1928 $500 Federal Reserve Note, Richmond District - Fr. 2200-E DGS - PMG VF 20 KM.1267 Reverse: Crowned arms at CastilePleasing note with solid paper, no pinholes, and no tears. This note has a few trace rust stains on the obverse and reverse (noted on the reverse of the holder). The Richmond district printed 84,720 notes for the 1928 Series $500. The 1928 continues to be the most popular of the small size $500 due, of course, to the gold clause which reads: "REDEEMABLE IN GOLD ON DEMAND AT THE UNITED STATES TREASURY OR IN GOLD OR LAWFUL MONEY AT ANY FEDERAL RESERVE
