Goslings Black Seal Rum 151 Oban 14 Year of the kōBlack Seal gets its name from an old packaging shortcut: the rum was originally sold only on draught from oak barrels as "Old Rum," and after World War I, when supply issues forced Goslings to bottle it in used Champagne bottles, they sealed the corks with black wax hence Black Seal. This 151 proof version is the overproof sibling to the standard 40% Black Seal, bottled at a fiery 75. 5% ABV and awarded a Platinum Medal in an overproof rum
