Norah O'Kelly (1886-1964), Landscape with Trees Thomas Bond Walker artist This is the 'new andLandscape painting depicting trees and rolling grassland, with mountains in the distance. A low, red building is on the left. In the middle distance are what appear to be figures. Knowing that Norah O'Kelly lived in Calcutta from approximately 1912 to 1918, we can wonder if this painting is from her Indian period. The figures could well be nuns, as they are depicted entirely in black and white. O'Kelly lived and taught at a Loreto convent in Calcutta.
