The set in West Texas was designed with meticulous care and I thank all involved

but there is a disconnect to anything that gives real scale – a “big sky” does not help as it excludes much of what could help define and give context

I guess this photograph has a fairytale vibe and that was my intent

we have learnt a great deal about cowboys

We discovered this bar in the middle of nowhere on a little road to a hamlet called Amsterdam which is about 15 minutes south of Bozeman
