River Reflection: Impressionist Style Impasto Oil Painting 19th century silk prints 51cm length x 40This is such a beautiful Impressionist style oil painting on wood board, depicting a lovely countryside scene with a cottage and its reflection in the river. The impasto brushstrokes are exquisite, bold and textured (slightly dry in parts) and you almost feel transported to this serene and joyous scene. I love the perspective too. It is signed bottom right and also has a beautiful slightly timeworn wooden frame painted in a soft gold. Dimensions 37cm
