The chinoisserie is timeworn with a little tear and the bamboo slightly rustic in parts but a very special and unique piece

with just teeny areas on the surface where the gilt has come off the tray and some white bits

It has bashes and bumps that are consistent with its age and use and some rusting and markings as well

It has a marking on the back with Arabic script which we have been told translates to the effect  that the painting was part of the “Ministry of  Culture” collection
