Dating from about 1800 this is a flintlock blunderbuss pistol from the Ottoman Empire, which was based in Constantinople Istanbul in Turkey. At the time the empire had spread to encompass almost all of the Islamic world. Its overall length is 17 3 4 inches, with the barrel itself measuring 9 inches. The barrel and lock are enhanced with dull Silver inlaid decorations, and the woodwork carved into the shape of a rifle
