The blade is a broad type with an upswept needle tip with file work to the spine and does remain in very good condition although there has been contact to the tip and that is missing

Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath with scalloped edges, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaying crossed swords on a hollow void, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 33 mm (w) x 43. 40 mm (h), weighing 8. 4 grams, a scarce variant in near mint condition.
