This is a fantastic genuine Great War hand painted 5th Infantry Division helmet. The helmet features a beautiful Sunburst on a blue square field painted on the front of the helmet with the sunburst appearing to have been scratched out for reasons unknown. The semi sunburst was suggested as the unit's shoulder sleeve insignia, and represents the division's home of Southern California. The paint is somewhat worn, and
