Italy, Kingdom. An Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus, Knight Auction Stufe mit Schwertern” (“German Order(Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro). Instituted September 16th, 1572. In silver gilt and enamels, consisting of a white enameled Shamrock Cross with green enameled fans in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, suspended from the original green ribbon, measures 40. 5 mm (w) x 45. 2 mm (h), marked 925 on the ring, enamel damage to the 6 oclock arm, remains very fine.
