The Jadot was a bit more muscular and complex but I really admired the Volnay’s elegance and purity of expression

Tannins still lightly present but fine

2-5 years in bottle is a sweet spot for nearly every white wine

There is unique pleasure in tasting just that. I have no interest in deciding if it is the best Cte Rtie I have had, or the best Jasmin, or the best 2007 Cte Rtie, or the best Jasmin 2007 Cte Rtie.
