It features sturdy reinforced side walls and a length of integral piping which trims the outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the centre of the cap band is an RAMC badge featuring a king's crown, and which is constructed of bronze and measures 32 mm (w) x 45 mm (h). The band is flanked by RAMC issue buttons which accommodate a two piece brown
