Lycoris 'Red Sunset' produces a 2' tall bronze stalk, topped with spidery petaled, rosy red flowers, lightly tipped in dark blue. For us, the flower stalks arise from bare ground, starting in early August (NC). After flowering, the narrow, liriope like foliage emerges in fall and persists
