A Maltese cross paty constructed of silvered bronze alloy, the obverse centre bears the daye 1939 within a wreath, the cross arms are pebbled with a smooth border, two upwards facing crossed swords lay in the quadrants between the arms, the reverse is plain and bears a vertical pinback with flat wire catch, measuring 49. 14 mm (w) x 48. 83 mm (h), very fine.
