Obtained directly from a WW2 Veteran’s estate this is a portion of the vertcal stabilizer fin section cut from the body of a Focke-Wulf Fw 190

but has torn through the fingers of the pads

The center of the Exterior lid in fitted with a brass inlaid handle mounted on a base plate on which is engraved:-

The chin strap is only partly complete

The shield is in good shape, with all the detail still present, though the plating on the front has worn away, with some retained on the rear.
