A round silvered magnetic medal; the obverse depicting the crowned royal monogram of Georg, and dated 1914; the reverse inscribed VERDIENST IM KRIEGE (German Merit in War), within a laurel and oak wreath; with its period original ribbon; measuring 39. 60 mm in diameter; in overall better than fine condition.
